GPU for the National AI Computing Center not yet finalized as B200…latest AI semiconductors to be introduced

The Ministry of Science and ICT and the public-private SPC COARC held a groundbreaking ceremony for the National AI Computing Center in Haenam, South Jeolla Province, and outlined its GPU and operating plans.

The government said it will not lock the project to the originally proposed B200, but will review the latest GPUs and AI semiconductors based on market conditions.

Public allocation ratios and early service capacity will be decided later through board discussions and consultations with the government, with priority given to public demand.

The center will also secure power and water supply and use liquid-cooling systems as South Korea accelerates its national AI infrastructure buildout.
