Lisa Su’s 2013 vision of heterogeneous computing is now becoming the standard for AI infrastructure.

AI data centers are shifting from CPU-only systems to shared-memory designs that combine CPUs, GPUs, and accelerators.

That model is also shaping new “superchip” architectures across the industry, including AMD’s Instinct MI400 and Nvidia’s Vera Rubin.
