Threads users can now chat with Meta AI in their DMs

Meta is rolling out Meta AI inside Threads DMs, letting users chat privately with the assistant.

Users can share posts and media with Meta AI and ask follow-up questions directly in the app.

The feature is launching globally, while public-feed chatbot tests in Threads continue in select markets.

The move further embeds Meta AI across Meta’s apps and could help keep Threads users from switching to third-party tools.
