Jensen Huang and Bill McDermott bet on OpenShell to secure enterprise AI agents

Nvidia introduced OpenShell, an Apache 2.0 open source runtime for enterprise AI agents.

It isolates agents in sandboxes, uses a gateway for auth and sessions, and enforces controls below the app layer with Linux security tools like eBPF, seccomp, and Landlock.

The goal is to keep credentials and policy enforcement out of agents’ direct reach, making autonomous workflows safer for businesses.

LangChain plans to contribute, and ServiceNow is helping demonstrate enterprise use cases.
