Google unveiled “Agentic Data Cloud” at Cloud Next 2026, an AI-native data lakehouse that unifies data across Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, and SaaS apps.

The platform uses Knowledge Catalog, Iceberg support, and Cross-Cloud Interconnect to let enterprises access distributed data without copying it.

Google says this will give AI agents richer context and safer access to business data for analysis and action.

The move intensifies competition in multi-cloud analytics and AI data platforms against rivals like Databricks and Snowflake.
