Viral Cuphead-Style Indie Game Into The Unwell Unannounces Early Access Plans With a Song

Into the Unwell has delayed its planned 2026 Steam Early Access launch and is now aiming for a full 1.0 release in 2027.

The indie 3D roguelite’s developers said positive playtest feedback helped drive the change, along with support from publisher Coffee Stain.

They announced the shift with a musical video, underscoring the game’s playful Cuphead-style presentation.

The move reflects growing caution around Early Access, as more studios opt to launch with a more complete experience.
