Havoc Spear: US unveils new air-launched cruise missile with 460-mile range

AFSOC publicly unveiled the AGM-190A Havoc Spear, a new air-launched cruise missile developed with US SOCOM and an industry partner in under three years.

Officials say the 200-pound-class weapon is modular, mission-adaptable, and has demonstrated more than 400 nautical miles of range.

The missile is intended to give U.S. special operations forces a fast, low-cost precision strike option for stand-off attacks.

Planned testing on the AC-130J Ghostrider could help expand long-range attack options against contested threats.
