Microsoft launches ‘vibe working’ in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Microsoft is adding Agent Mode to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint so Copilot can directly edit documents, spreadsheets, and slides.

The feature can handle multi-step tasks and shows its work in a sidebar as it makes changes.

It is available to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Premium users, as well as Personal and Family subscribers.

The move expands Copilot from answering questions to actively editing Office files, making it more useful for business workflows.
