Oracle believed to have cut 10,000 positions as layoffs fund AI and data center investments

Oracle has reportedly conducted a large reduction in force affecting about 10,000 positions, according to staff account counts on Slack.

Employees and a senior manager posted that layoffs were not performance-related and affected long-tenured staff.

Reports say Oracle is cutting jobs as it spends billions on AI hardware and data centers, and that the spending could keep the company in the red until 2030.
