Westlake University researchers turned airborne close-range docking and tool-exchange research, published in Nature, into a startup: Westlake Fengxing Technology.

The company has launched the first-generation M500 airborne manipulation robot for small-batch delivery.

The article says flying robotic arms could move drones beyond inspection into real maintenance tasks like grabbing, cutting, cleaning, and installing parts.
