Apple escalates fight with India antitrust watchdog over access to global financials

Apple has challenged India’s Competition Commission in the Delhi High Court over demands for global financial records.

The dispute is tied to an App Store antitrust probe and Apple’s request to pause the case.

Apple says the regulator is overreaching and disputes a 2024 rule that could calculate fines using global turnover.

That approach could expose Apple to a penalty as high as $38 billion, far above an India-based calculation.
