WhatsApp's paid subscription starts rolling out to some

WhatsApp has begun limited testing and rollout of a new paid subscription called WhatsApp Plus for some users.

The plan adds extra customization and premium features while keeping the core WhatsApp app free.

This is WhatsApp’s first step toward consumer subscription monetization.

Power users may get more features, while the standard free experience stays unchanged.
