DeepSeek Slashes API Prices, Sets New Low for Large Model Costs

DeepSeek announced steep API price cuts across its V4 model family, including a 10x drop in cached input pricing.

V4-Pro now has a limited-time 75% discount, while non-cached input and output costs were also reduced.

The company renamed older chat and reasoner endpoints for compatibility as it updates its model lineup.

The move could pressure rivals like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google by making advanced AI APIs much cheaper.
