Intel’s 18A-P Goes Beyond a 9% Speed Bump, Adding 50% Better Thermal Conductivity and Tighter Skew Corners to Win Foundry Customers

Intel previewed 18A-P, an enhanced version of its 18A process node.

Intel says 18A-P offers about 9% higher performance or 18% lower power than 18A.

The update also adds better transistor options, tighter skew corners, and 50% improved thermal conductivity.

The refinements are aimed at attracting foundry customers with better performance, efficiency, and heat handling.
