Quick Share is getting a useful upgrade for sharing files with iPhones

Google is rolling out a Quick Share option that generates a QR code for sending files to iPhones.

The recipient scans the code and downloads the file from a Google webpage, with the link available for 24 hours.

Google says the transfer is end-to-end encrypted, making cross-platform sharing more secure.

The feature gives Android users a simpler AirDrop-like way to share files with iPhone users.
