Huawei says it has connected 170 million people in remote areas across 80+ countries

Huawei announced at its Barcelona TECH Cares Forum that it has connected 170 million people in remote areas across more than 80 countries.

The company said this outcome exceeds its 2022 ITU P2C pledge to connect 120 million people by 2025.

Huawei highlighted programs like Skills on Wheels and the RuralCow solution, launched in November 2025, as contributors to the result.
