AMD Ryzen 5 5500X3D Review: AM4 Keeps on Giving

AMD’s Ryzen 5 5500X3D is a 6-core, 12-thread AM4 chip with 96MB of L3 cache and a 4.0GHz boost, positioned as a lower-clocked sibling to the 5600X3D.

Originally sold only in limited regions, it is now surfacing through overseas retailers such as AliExpress and in markets including the UK.

Early gaming tests show it can land close to the Ryzen 5 5600X in some titles, while delivering much larger gains over older Zen-era processors.

The review suggests AMD is still giving AM4 life with a niche but appealing budget gaming upgrade for existing platform owners.
