Over 20 national treasures collected by generations of culture-loving daimyos line up! Special exhibition "One Million Koku! The Kaga Maeda Clan"

The Tokyo National Museum’s Heiseikan has opened the special exhibition “One Million Koku! The Kaga Maeda Clan,” marking the 100th anniversary of the Maeda Tokyokai.

More than 20 national treasures and many Important Cultural Properties tied to the Kaga Maeda clan are on display, highlighting the collection’s scale and quality.

The show offers a cross-disciplinary look at samurai history, Japanese art, calligraphy, and famed swords, including treasures linked to Maeda Toshiie and others.
