Tesla promises HW3 owners a lite version of FSD, but it's months away

Tesla says older Hardware 3 cars will not receive full self-driving through software alone.

Instead, owners will get a reduced FSD V14 Lite first in the U.S., then later in international markets.

The rollout still needs technical, regional, and regulatory work and may take months.

The update falls well short of what many HW3 buyers believed they had paid for.
