Google's 'Ask YouTube' Finds the Exact Part of a Video That Answers Your Question

Google is expanding YouTube with Ask YouTube, a conversational AI search tool that finds relevant videos and jumps to the exact moment that answers a question.

Users can ask detailed follow-up questions to refine results, making video search faster and more precise.

The feature is now available to U.S. YouTube Premium members ages 18+ and will roll out more broadly later.

It could improve discovery for viewers, but may reduce watch time and referral value for creators by highlighting only the most relevant snippets.
