The SDF-1 From ‘Macross’ Is Getting A Huge Diecast Toy, But Only For Japan

Bandai Spirits is launching a massive DX Chogokin SDF-1 Macross diecast toy in Japan this November.

The collectible measures about 65 cm and is priced at 99,000 yen, targeting premium mecha fans.

Because it is based on the original Macross TV series, it will not be sold in the U.S.

The limited availability reflects long-running rights issues involving Harmony Gold, Robotech, and Macross.
