‘World-first’: Humanoid robot Tinnie to work as apprentice in renovation project

Cherie Barber is adding humanoid robot Tinnie to a farmhouse renovation in Australia as a non-physical apprentice.

Tinnie will help with inductions, code checks, and product guidance while learning how a site works.

The project, backed by Unitree Robotics, is being framed as a social experiment to test AI on a real construction site.

The Farmhouse renovation will also be filmed for TV and social media and includes sustainable features like a greenhouse, orchards, chickens, and bees.
