Intel and Qualcomm confirm Googlebook AI laptop partnerships, opening ARM and x86 possibilities for a new OS — Google VP says devices will also ship with MediaTek chips

Intel and Qualcomm have publicly confirmed they’re working with Google on the new Googlebook laptop lineup.

Google says the first devices will use Intel, Qualcomm, and MediaTek processors, covering both x86 and ARM hardware.

The laptops will run a new OS that blends Android and ChromeOS, with native Android app support.

The partnerships point to Google’s broader push for AI-first PCs and a multi-chip platform strategy.
