Copilot is getting a sidebar treatment for Windows 11, just like Gemini in Chrome

Microsoft is rolling out a redesigned Copilot for Windows 11 that can dock to the left or right side of the screen.

The new layout works like a persistent sidebar, automatically resizing other open apps, and adds a picture-in-picture mode.

The update revives an earlier Copilot sidebar concept Microsoft had dropped after a limited web-based version.

It signals Microsoft’s push to make Copilot feel more integrated into the Windows desktop experience.
