Successfully Drove 500 km Without Steering Operation — First Domestic Achievement with an Autonomous Driving Truck

The T2 is a company-developed Level 2 autonomous truck.

In June 2025 it drove about 500 km from Ayase City to Kobe City, the longest domestic distance for a Level 2 truck.

A demonstration in early March 2026 ran the highway mainline linking Kanto and Kansai—about 500 km between Ayase Smart IC (Tomei) and Kobe Nishi IC (Sanyo).

In that demonstration the truck completed the route without any temporary driver steering.

The system can pause automated driving and require the driver to steer when roadworks or merging vehicles create irregularities; switching bases near Ayase Smart IC and Kobe Nishi IC are planned for completion this spring.
