Jack Dorsey’s Block Urges U.S. Senate to Pass CLARITY Act for Crypto Regulatory Clarity

Block urged Senate leaders to hold a floor vote on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, backed by CEO Jack Dorsey.

The company says the bill would clarify when digital assets are securities or commodities and define SEC vs. CFTC oversight.

Block also highlighted federal consumer protections, self-custody rights, and safe harbors for non-custodial developers.

If passed, the CLARITY Act could become the first broad U.S. crypto rulebook and shape where digital asset innovation develops.
