Older Kindles lose support this week: What you can still do with them

Amazon will stop supporting many older Kindle models, mostly pre-2013 devices, on May 20.

Those devices will no longer be able to buy, borrow, or download new content from the Kindle Store.

Books already on the device will still be readable, but owners will lose direct access to new titles.

The change may push users toward device upgrades or unofficial workarounds like sideloading.
