Meta's AI training effort is capturing employee emails and browsing history, not just mouse clicks

Reuters reports Meta’s Model Capability Initiative logs employee activity across 200+ apps and websites to train AI agents.

The system appears to track more than clicks, potentially including email and chat content, code changes, browsing history, clipboard actions, and other device activity.

Meta says it is installed only on U.S. devices and is meant to analyze behavior, not message substance.

Privacy advocates warn the program could create cross-border data risks and invite GDPR scrutiny.
