"I Didn't Want To Let Anyone Down" - Mario Galaxy Movie Composer Wrote Much Of The Score In Hospital

Composer Brian Tyler said he wrote much of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie score from a hospital bed after a double brain hemorrhage.

Tyler kept his hospitalization secret from the film's production because he did not want to let the team down.

He collaborated with Koji Kondo and Nintendo, who reviewed his proposals and sometimes requested musical references.

Koji Kondo was inducted into the AIAS Hall of Fame at the 27th DICE Awards, with Tyler introducing his award.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is currently playing in theaters.
