Apple accused of discriminating against unionized Towson workers

Apple is closing its Towson, Maryland store, its first unionized U.S. retail location.

The IAM Union filed an unfair labor practice charge, saying Apple denied union workers transfer options given to nonunion employees.

Apple rejected the allegations and said it will follow the union agreement and defend its actions before the NLRB.

The dispute could set an important precedent for how unionized workers are treated during store closures.
