Moonshot AI released Kimi K3’s weights and technical report, making the model available as an open-weight release.

Kimi K3 is a 2.8-trillion-parameter MoE model with a 1-million-token context window, drawing attention for near–state-of-the-art benchmark results.

The model can now be used via Hugging Face and other tools such as LM Studio and Ollama, lowering access barriers for developers and researchers.

The open release of a frontier-level Chinese model could shape AI competition and broaden how large models are deployed outside proprietary services.
