KDDI and related group companies launched “povo smartphone insurance” on May 21.

The plan covers screen damage, water exposure, malfunction, and theft, starting at 190 yen per month.

It can be purchased regardless of mobile carrier and supports both new and used devices.

The low-cost, flexible coverage expands insurance options for smartphone users.
