AMD's 256-core EPYC Venice enters production on TSMC's 2nm node

AMD says its next-gen Epyc Venice server CPU has entered production ramp on TSMC’s N2 2nm process.

The flagship model will pack up to 256 cores and is expected to deliver major gains in performance, efficiency, and memory bandwidth over Turin.

Venice is based on Zen 6 and SP7, and supports platform upgrades such as PCIe 6.0 for AI and data center workloads.

AMD also plans to bring future manufacturing to TSMC’s Arizona site, signaling broader U.S. production ambitions.
