Large-scale AIDC rollout begins... Jung Jae-heon to serve as the ecosystem’s central figure [On-site+]

The government and industry launched the AIDC Alliance to accelerate Korea’s AI data center strategy at a 18.4GW scale.

SK Telecom CEO Jeong Jae-heon was named the first private-sector chair, positioning SKT as a key hub for the ecosystem.

The alliance will work through demand, supply, and infrastructure committees, plus an export-industrialization task force.

The government plans to advance a special law next year and designate AI data center cluster zones.

SK Telecom will back execution through its AIDC subsidiary SK Hyper, investing 750 billion won by 2030.
