Google updated Gemini subscription plans, shifting from fixed daily prompt limits to compute-based usage limits that reset every five hours within a weekly cap.

Access is now more clearly tiered across Free, Plus, Pro, and Ultra plans, with different allowances for models, research, image, video, and productivity tools.

The changes affect Gemini-powered features across Google apps and services, including NotebookLM and Google Home Premium.

Google said the refresh was announced around I/O 2026, and it changes what users can do at each subscription level.
