Mistral AI acquires industrial AI specialist

Mistral AI has acquired Austrian startup Emmi AI to strengthen its industrial AI strategy.

The deal adds Emmi’s expertise in industrial simulations, digital twins, and physics-based AI, with more than 30 employees joining Mistral.

Linz will become a Mistral office as the company expands its European presence.

Mistral says it will build an integrated platform for engineering and simulation, moving beyond chatbots into industrial use cases.
