The Outer Worlds will soon be removed from stores — but there's a catch

Obsidian will remove the original 2019 The Outer Worlds from sale on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on May 27.

The base game will remain available on Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.

Spacer's Choice Edition will stay on sale, receive new patches, and support a free upgrade for players who own the base game and DLC.

The move consolidates storefront sales around one version of the RPG, with owners on some platforms pushed toward the updated edition.
