“Developers see this as the future”: Pilot Protocol launches to power the agent economy

Pilot Protocol has launched from stealth with infrastructure for an emerging agent economy.

Its platform gives AI agents network addresses, an app store, and wallets to discover tools and other agents, pay for usage, and interact without humans.

The company says roughly 250,000 agents are already on the network, with usage growing quickly.

If agent-to-agent discovery and payments scale, software distribution and monetization could shift toward autonomous agent marketplaces.
