The U.S. is installing 1 MW chargers for its electric vehicles, though Europe is ahead: with cars ready to take advantage of them

The U.S. is rolling out ultra-fast EV chargers up to 600 kW and 1.2 MW, but most passenger EVs sold there still cannot use that full power.

Tesla is also pushing toward 500 kW charging, yet the vehicle side is lagging behind the infrastructure.

Europe and China are ahead in matching high-power chargers with cars designed to accept them, with models like the Lucid Gravity, Porsche Cayenne Electric, BMW iX3, and BYD/Denza examples.

In Spain, the priority remains expanding a network that is still limited in power and reliability, according to ANFAC.
