Google Phone, system dialers can show calls from third-party apps

Google announced Jetpack Telecom v1.1.0, which lets third-party VoIP apps show call logs and callback actions inside native Android dialers like Phone by Google.

The rollout starts with Google Meet, with support appearing in Phone by Google as part of a phased launch.

Developers can opt out of call log entry exposure, giving them more control over privacy and spam protection.

The update makes internet calling apps feel more native on Android by improving call visibility and one-tap callbacks.
