OpenAI released Microscope, an open tool for visualizing neurons across nine widely studied vision models.

The system links each neuron and model, making inspection, comparison, and collaboration much easier.

By speeding up neuron-level analysis, it could help researchers test claims and understand model behavior more clearly.

Microscope also builds on prior interpretability work from projects like Lucid and Circuits.
