OpenAI launched the Rosalind Biodefense program to give approved public-interest partners access to GPT-Rosalind.

The company is covering usage costs for projects with clear biodefense or pandemic-preparedness value.

Early users include national labs, a university lab, and organizations working on vaccines and DNA screening.

The model can support literature review, protocol design, simulation, diagnostics, vaccine research, and screening workflows.
