Google Docs just gave Gemini four new AI tricks to speed up editing

Google Docs is getting four Gemini-powered tools to summarize comment threads, surface unresolved issues, draft comments and replies, and suggest edits from reviewer feedback.

The rollout starts this week for eligible Google Workspace and AI subscribers, including Business and Enterprise tiers and Google AI Pro/Ultra users.

Google is also expanding Gemini in Docs to generate and edit images, diagrams, and infographics using the document as context.

The update should make collaboration faster by reducing manual comment cleanup, back-and-forth replies, and revision work inside Docs.
