New airliner sets record flying 24 hours nonstop from Australia to France

Airbus completed a 24-hour-25-minute test flight of its A350-1000ULR from Melbourne to Toulouse.

The earlier Toulouse-to-Melbourne leg showed the jet’s ultra-long-range capability for Qantas’s Project Sunrise.

The aircraft is being developed for nonstop Australia–US and Australia–UK routes, including Sydney to New York and Sydney to London.
