Google Photos adds a “virtual try-on” feature, letting users register clothes in photos and mix and match them in the app

Google announced a new AI “wardrobe” feature for Google Photos that can detect clothes in your pictures and organize them like a closet.

Users will be able to browse saved items by category and try out outfit combinations directly in the app.

The feature is set to launch on Android in summer 2026, with an iOS rollout to follow.

It expands Google Photos from a simple storage app into a more practical fashion-organization tool.
