Mistral's new flagship Medium 3.5 folds chat, reasoning, and code into one model

Mistral launched Medium 3.5, a 128B dense flagship model with a 256k context window that unifies chat, reasoning, coding, and vision.

The company is replacing several older models with Medium 3.5 across its products, simplifying the lineup around a single system.

Mistral also added cloud-based asynchronous coding agents to Vibe and a connector-heavy Work Mode to Le Chat.

The release favors easier deployment and broader product integration, but it comes with a more restrictive Modified MIT License for the weights.
