High school defends staying silent while boys made AI nudes of 59 classmates

A Pennsylvania private school is seeking to dismiss a lawsuit accusing it of failing to warn families or report quickly after boys allegedly made AI-generated nude images of female classmates.

The school says it passed the tip to law enforcement through the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office and had no clear duty to treat the images as child sexual abuse material.

Students allege at least 59 girls were affected, and say the school discouraged reporting, withheld information, and did not adequately protect victims.

The case could help define how schools must respond when AI deepfakes involving minors spread as nonconsensual sexual imagery.
