From folding boxes to fixing vacuums, GEN-1 robotics model hits 99% reliability

Generalist announced GEN-1, a physical AI system trained for diverse manual tasks using wearable data capture.

The company says it collected over half a million hours and petabytes of physical interaction data to train the model.

GEN-1 reportedly achieves about 99% success on repetitive delicate tasks and runs roughly three times faster than GEN-0.

The model can adapt after about an hour of robot-specific fine-tuning and can improvise to recover from disruptions.
