SpaceX gets US approval to test new Starfall capsules for space manufacturing

FAA documents show SpaceX has approval to test its secretive Starfall reentry capsule project.

The program includes two Pacific Ocean splashdowns and vehicles that can launch on Falcon 9 or Starship.

Starfall is designed to return payloads from orbit, enabling in-space manufacturing and cargo delivery to Earth.

If successful, it could create a new market for reusable reentry vehicles and pressure rivals like Varda, Inversion, and Armos Space Cargo.
