"Minecraft" system requirements raised for the first time in 17 years

Mojang Studios has raised the minimum and recommended PC requirements for Minecraft Java Edition.

Recommended memory jumps from 4GB to 16GB, and the CPU/GPU targets now point to newer hardware.

Older PCs may still run the game for now, but the update signals a shift toward newer graphics tech and better future performance.

This is the first major baseline change in about 17 years, and it could affect older systems.
